I am running for the School Board because I care deeply about education and believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Coming from a small town and a humble background, education was the greatest opportunity I had. It opened doors that otherwise would have remained closed and made it possible for me to build the life and career I have today. That experience shaped my belief that education is one of the greatest equalizers.

As our family joins the public school district, I bring the perspective of having experienced both private and public education. It reinforced my belief that our public schools can provide an outstanding education while serving every child.

One of my priorities is student well-being, particularly during the middle school years. This is one of the most important and challenging transitions in a child's life as students navigate increasing academic expectations, changing friendships, social pressures, and rapid emotional growth. Students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and connected. I believe we can do more by increasing awareness of existing resources, strengthening partnerships between schools and parents, and exploring ways to make support more accessible for students who need it.

I am also passionate about preparing students for the future. Artificial intelligence is changing the world faster than any technology I have seen in my career. Our children deserve an education that prepares them for the world they will graduate into, not the world we grew up in. That means maintaining strong foundations in reading, writing, math, science, and the arts while developing critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills.

I have volunteered in our local schools, served as Athletic Director, coached youth sports, tutored students through Healthy Cities, mentored youth through Friends for Youth, and volunteered with Asha for Education for more than 20 years, helping expand educational opportunities for underserved children in India.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and have spent more than 20 years leading product, engineering, and technology organizations. My experience solving complex problems, building teams, and managing budgets has prepared me to serve our district.

If elected, I will focus on academic excellence, student well-being, supporting our educators and staff, responsible financial stewardship, and open communication with families. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, make informed decisions, and always put students first.
